DAPs and EC claims guidance: Portico outage 6-9 December

Arrangements for supporting students with DAPs and EC claims while Portico is offline

Portico will be unavailable from 5pm on Friday 6 December until 10am on Monday 9 December for a scheduled system upgrade. During this time, it will not be possible for students to submit DAPs or EC Claims, or for staff to process EC claims, on Portico.

Please follow the guidance below to support your students during this time:

  • Process in-progress EC claims in advance of the outage where possible.
     
  • Advise students of the outage in advance:
    • There will be a Portico outage from 5pm on Friday 6 December until 10am on Monday 9 December
    • You will be unable to submit DAPs or EC claims during this outage
       
    • For DAPs where the assessment deadline falls during the outage:
      • Contact your department via email before the assessment deadline to inform them that you wish to use a DAP
      • Your department will then submit the DAP on your behalf following the outage
    • For EC claims with evidence: you should follow the usual process to submit your EC claim with evidence once the service is restored (as these can be submitted after an assessment deadline).
