Portico Student Summary search enhancements
20 August 2024
Read about the improvements to the search functionality being introduced this week
The Student Summary search functionality in Portico is being updated to support more effective searching for student information, in particular where a student number may not be available.
- You can now search by student name: You can search by full or partial surnames using wild cards (including double-barrelled and long surnames) and first / preferred forename
- You can now search by date of birth: Note that you also need to enter surname to use this option.
- You can limit the search to current / latest enrolment record: Use the “Current / Latest enrolment record only” checkboxes at the bottom of the search screen to do this:
- “Current enrolment record” should be used for students who are currently enrolled or on interruption
- “Latest enrolment record” should be used for students who have completed their programme.
Students with a start date on or prior to 1 August 2007 will not appear in the search results. Contact Student Records or Research Degrees for information about such students
Access to the Student Summary search screen continues to be from your Portico homepage: click the “Student summary” link in the Student information container. There has been no change to the information shown on the Student Summary.
