Examination Adjustment Arrangements for 2022

10 March 2022

Deadline for students to submit requests for Exam Adjustments

Arrangements for Centrally Managed Assessments 2022

Students with approved additional writing time/rest breaks 2021/22 academic year, will be granted the following:

  • Controlled Condition Exams: students will receive their approved additional time allowance (calculated in minutes per hour, excluding the 20 minute upload window)
  • 24-Hour Take Home Papers: All students with an approved additional time allowance will be given an additional 2 hours (i.e. 26 hours in total).

How will time allowances display to students?

Students who have had their additional time allowance approved prior to 18 February will see the additional time added on their assessment timetable (without the 20 minute upload window)

On AssessmentUCL the durations displayed will be the full amount of time allotted to the student, inclusive of any upload window.

Other Requirements

Colleagues from Student Support and Wellbeing will endeavour to make contact with any students who may have more complex needs in order to identify what additional support can be provided.

Deadline for Applications

The deadline for the receipt of applications from students applying for examination adjustments for the Main Examination period is Monday 11th April

Students requiring examination adjustments must submit their applications to Student Support and Wellbeing by 4pm on 11th April

Any students who miss the deadline should be advised to apply for a deferral to the next examination period (i.e. the Late Summer Assessment period) under the extenuating circumstances regulations.
