Reminder: Modern Foreign Language (MFL) suspension

Earlier in the year Education Committee agreed to suspend the Modern Foreign Language (MFL) requirement for all students.

This means for students enrolled in 2020/21 and before the MFL will no longer be a requirement for graduation, so will not need to be considered when awarding students at the upcoming Exam Boards.

The MFL will also no longer be required for students admitted from 2021/22 onwards, and a new scheme to encourage students to develop language skills will be designed in the context of future educational strategy development.
