SID Working Group Meets to Discuss SID Governance and Good Practice

1 June 2021

Information from the first two meetings of the working group.

The SID Working Group met for the first time on 29 April 2021 and was established to oversee the development of governance and good practice for the SID system, the groups aims include:

  • Agreeing on activities for maintaining data quality of enquiries, cases and FAQs (inc. reviews, reporting, training, user support groups and user guides).
  • Agreeing on good practice activities to deliver excellent customer service.

The formation of this group is important as it completes the feedback loop, we need to ensure we continue to develop and enhance the system for users. With so many teams now using the system, each with their own ideas for enhancements and developments, we need to now establish the process for capturing these requirements and agreeing on the priorities for the work. This list of work can then be presented to the SSP Project Team to investigate resources and timelines for delivery.

In the second meeting on 27 May the group completed an exercise to:

  • Agree the data quality activities and responsibilities
  • Agree on good practice actions and objectives
  • Discuss how we can record and prioritise continuous improvement work

Notes from the activity and discussions will be used to form a paper outlining the data quality and good practice policy for SID.
