Academic Partnerships Updates

A few minor changes have been made to the Academic Partnerships Framework for 2021-22.

The Academic Partnerships Framework has been updated for 2021-22 with the following minor changes:

  • Addition of reference to the Office for Students Regulatory Framework where relevant
  • Removal the of the Split-Site PhD as a partnership type due to no use so far and to ensure alignment with the ongoing work on PGR regulations
  • Addition of “off-site” partnership description to better describe “flying faculty” partnerships that are located in the UK
  • Clarifying that the Academic Policy and Quality Assurance team does not formally approve agreements for partnerships that do not lead to UCL award of credit even though it reviews them for legal purposes
  • Clarifications made by the Global Engagement Office to paragraph 3.1.5 on Memoranda of Understanding
  • Clarifications to language in 4.1.1
  • Updates to Vice-Provost titles
  • Clarification that any alternative classification scheme must be set out in the additional student terms and conditions for the programme, as well as the Programme Summary.

The following annexes are also being updated:

  • Academic Partnership Renewal Form – provisions added for collaborative modules and Progression Agreements
  • Principles for the Management of Student Exchange Partnerships – reference added to the new Turing Scheme and removal of reference to a Portico form with regards to the Study Plan as the Portico form has not been available as expected
