9 July: Deadline for confirming mode of delivery for 2021/22 modules
17 June 2021
UCL’s blended approach to teaching to be reflected in the Module Catalogue summer refresh
Under the 2021/22 operating model, UCL will be taking a blended approach to teaching overall, but within that there may be some modules delivered entirely online. In order that we are able to provide students with accurate information about their studies we have provided functionality in Portico for you to indicate any modules that will be delivered entirely online so that this information can be picked up in the summer refresh of the module catalogue which will commence in mid-July.
All module deliveries which were previously ‘standard’ or ‘face-to-face’ or ‘mixed mode’ have been updated to ‘blended’ and all module deliveries which are ‘online’ remain as ‘online’. However, you can now update the delivery type if you need to by following the steps below in the Portico container ‘Curriculum Data Maintenance: Modules and Assessments’ which is located in the ‘Curricular Management’ section of Portico:
- Search for your modules in Curriculum Data Maintenance: Modules and Assessments
- Select ‘Edit’ to enter the module
- Scroll down to view the module deliveries associated with the module
- The ‘Delivery Mode’ will show either ‘blended’ or ‘online’
- If you need to change the ‘Delivery Mode’, select ‘Edit’ and choose the new delivery mode (either ‘blended’ or ‘online’) and press ‘Save’
The deadline to do this is Friday 9 July 2021.
The revised delivery modes (either ‘blended’ or ‘online’) and any changes you undertake following the steps above will be published in the refresh of the UCL Module Catalogue at the end of July 2021.
Please add to your Student Records and SLT Enquiry Log on your Faculty and SR Team if you have any questions.
