India COVID-19 relief appeal

30 April 2021

You may be aware that the second wave of COVID-19 has hit India especially hard, leading to overwhelming spikes in cases with vital supplies at dangerously low levels and treatment facilities overflowing and unable to cope.

A majority of India’s population lives in rural villages in extreme poverty, with limited access to advanced healthcare.

Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care (SRLC) is a charity which is raising funds to support a new medical facility in rural Gujarat to provide free COVID-19 treatment to over 100 villages in the area. If you would like to learn more about the initiative or to contribute, please see SRLC document below or contact Chandan Shah (chandan.shah@ucl.ac.uk).

For regular updates from the COVID Health Centre to see how the donations are making an immediate difference, do follow us on Instagram or Facebook.

The charity (SRLC) has been awarded a Special Consultative Status by the UN, particularly for its ability and efficiency in dealing with the most disastrous and acute charitable causes, and the ability to service areas and segments of population where help is most needed and least able to be delivered. This is exactly that situation.

*Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care UK is the charity arm of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur UK which is a UK Registered Charity (No. 1138913)
