Launch of new e-transcript service for students
15 July 2020
Alternative online service developed in response to Covid-19
A new service will be launched shortly to enable electronic transcripts to be issued securely to third parties via Portico on request by students. This service has been developed to replace the printed transcript service that was suspended when offices closed in response to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.
E-transcripts are official documents issued under the signature of the Registrar and constitute a verified record of a student's academic achievement.
Students can request interim or final e-transcripts via the UCL online store and requests will be processed by staff working remotely. Third parties will be issued with a secure, time sensitive link to view the e-transcript via Portico and students will receive an email confirmation when the request has been completed.
Additional benefits of the e-transcript service include:
- Request details are stored in Portico for faster query resolution.
- Savings on paper, printing and postage.
- Contributes to UCL sustainability policy.
- E-transcripts can't get lost in the post!
The e-transcript service is available to both current students and alumni. Please note that students cannot request e-transcripts to be sent to themselves. This year's graduates will be sent five printed copies of their transcript along with their degree certificate within three months of conferral of their award.
