Timeframes and eligibility criteria for attending 2020 Graduation Ceremonies
Invitations to the 2020 Graduation Ceremonies will be sent out via email to eligible students w/c 17 February.
Students will be invited to apply and given details of the provisional date and time of their graduation ceremony. This date will remain provisional until after the ticket application deadline when the schedule is confirmed.
Students who postponed their attendance at a 2019 ceremony, will be sent an invitation separately by the end of March.
Postgraduate students who have a debt on their record will be contacted separately.
The 2020 UCL Graduation Ceremonies will be held in the Summer months of June, July and September.

Awards conferred by the following deadlines will be invited to attend a 2020 ceremony. Students with awards approved after the deadline will be invited to a ceremony in 2021.

* PGR students are awarded after:
- examiners have confirmed any thesis corrections have been completed,
- a physical copy of the thesis has been submitted to the Student Enquirers Centre,
- an e-thesis upload has been received by the UCL Library.
If the above criteria is not met by 30 April 2020, students will not be awarded in time and will therefore not be invited to a ceremony this year. Students awarded after 30 April 2020, will be invited to a ceremony in 2021.
Students who enter LSA 2020 will not be eligible to attend a 2020 ceremony
Departments will be able to run reports in Portico to check which students have been invited to a Ceremony. We will contact departments once these reports are ready for checking.
Late Awards:
Results and awards from Main and Re-sit (Dissertation) Exam Boards taking place in January 2020, or any late awards approved by Chair’s Action, must be processed and approved in Portico by 20 March 2020 to be invited to a ceremony this year. Awards approved after this date will be invited to a ceremony in 2021.
