Here’s your round-up of UCL equality, diversity and inclusion news and information.

Is UCL an LGBTQ+ inclusive employer?

UCL is preparing for its next submission to the Stonewall Top 100 Workforce Equality Index .

The Index is one of the best-practice frameworks UCL uses to advance good practice within our community within the context of our legal obligations. Other tools used include: Athena SWAN Chartermark, Race Equality Chartermark; and the Disability Standard.

One part of the process is giving staff the opportunity to feedback views on UCL, as an LGBTQ+ inclusive workplace directly to Stonewall.

Please share your views via the Stonewall 2020 Staff Feedback Survey

You must use the code 1666 so that the results are attributed to UCL.  You can complete the survey in approximately 5 minutes. The questionnaire will close on Friday 1 November 2019.

UCL Neurodivergent Staff Network

If you identify as autistic or dyslexic, have Tourette Syndrome or ADHD, or identify in any other way as neurodivergent, please join.

If you are interested in joining our network, please email Dafne at d.morgado-ramirez@ucl.ac.uk  stating the email address that you would like the invitation sent to.

Mentors needed for the WHEN Mentoring Scheme

The Women’s Higher Education Network (WHEN) are looking for mentors to take part in their WHEN Mentoring Scheme.

All of us have come across people who have helped us along the way, who have shared their own experiences and wisdom with us, leaving us feeling that little bit more confident.

So, if you would like to put yourself forward to take on that role and become a mentor, please get in touch with WHEN on team@whenequality.org including a very brief paragraph about yourself (although a full application form will follow soon, so please don’t spend too much time preparing this).
