5-9 December: Annual SITS/Portico upgrade

This year’s annual SITS/Portico upgrade to version 9.8.0 will take place from 4pm on Thursday 5 December until 10am on Monday 9 December 2019. Portico and the SITS client will be unavailable during this time.
The new version of SITS is currently being tested to ensure the processes and functions you currently use in Portico will continue to operate as expected after the upgrade. Services that take data from Portico, such as Moodle and the timetabling system (CMIS), are also being tested. Using this approach we are able to detect and resolve any issues at the earliest opportunity, keeping the outage duration and impact on users to a minimum.
This outage has been scheduled after the deadline for September starting students to confirm their term 2 and 3 modules but will occur before the deadline for departments to approve any final amendments. Please share this information with your colleagues to help with planning around this down time.
