B-MEntor Professional Services

B-MEntor Professional Services is a new mentor programme for UCL staff from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) backgrounds at grades 1-7.

UCL’s equalities team is calling for mentors and mentees to take part in this scheme.

They would like to receive expressions of interest by Friday 22 March 2019. Both mentors and mentees should complete the expression of interest form which is available on the UCL website and send the form to equalities@ucl.ac.uk.

Mentees: should be a member of Professional Services staff at grades 1-7 and self-identify as being from a BME background.

Mentors: must be middle or senior management in Professional Services at grades 7-10 and can be from any background. If you are passionate about racial equality at UCL then this is a great initiative to get involved in.

What does the scheme include?

• Compulsory induction training (for mentees, either 2 April, 10-12pm or 5 April, 12-2pm; for mentors, either 10 April, 10-12pm or 12 April, 12-2pm)
• At least 6 one to one mentoring sessions
• End of year celebration social event
• Dedicated coaching session
