Regulations and staff guidance for the new 2020/21 Interruptions policy and workflow
Introduction
The new Interruption of Study policy and online process has now launched. The new process includes:
- More support for students before, during and after interruption
- More guidance for departments on how to support students
- New online workflow
- Departmental approval of standard interruptions
- Meetings with students to plan their return to study
- Interruptions for flexible/ modular students in their final year of study
- Replacing backdating with deferrals via Extenuating Circumstances
- Default return dates of the start of term
- Students can access facilities, libraries etc. 3 months before they return
