The Academic Regulations team are responsible for:
- maintaining and developing the UCL Academic Manual
- providing advice and support to students and staff on UCL's academic policies and regulations
- responding to suspension of regulation requests
- responding to requests that require a higher level of approval
Guide to Academic Policy Development

Requests for Central Approval
Requests that require Central Approval also come to the team for approval, and must be submitted via the Faculty. These include:
- Qualifications with an Alternate Field of Study
- Backdated Interruption of Study
- Backdated Withdrawal from Study
- Extended Authorised Absence
- Late disclosure of Extenuating Circumstance
- Late request for Programme Transfer
- Waive of the Modern Foreign Language Requirement
- Material Irregularity
- Suspension of the academic regulations
