A look at the forces that shape Russian foreign policy, the instruments it uses and its impact on the contemporary world. After a brief survey of Soviet foreign policy up to 1991, the course focuses on policy-making in the Russian Federation and policy towards the former Soviet republics, NATO, the EU, Asia and the Middle East.
