20 June 2012

Professor Richard Bellamy

Professor Richard Bellamy has been awarded the Serena Medal by the British Academy. This is awarded annually `for eminent services towards the furtherance of the study of Italian history, literature, art or economics'. Richard is believed to be the first political scientist to get it.

A collection of 15 of his articles on Italian political theory, written roughly over the past 25 years,  is to be published in the Autumn by ECPR Press, the publishing house of the European Consortium for Political Research, with the title Croce, Gramsci, Bobbio and the Italian Political Tradition.

There is a ceremony for the award on 8 November at the British Academy.
