Staff, students and alumni are invited to celebrate 30 years of the UCL Department of Political Science and School of Public Policy.
Supporting High Schools and Sixth Forms
Our academics collaborate with high schools and sixth forms across London in a variety of ways to enhance their offerings in political science, government and politics, ethics, and philosophy. In recent years, this has included delivering research talks, offering insights into academic career paths, and discussing broader career opportunities that stem from studying political science.
These arrangements are typically informal, but we’re happy to connect you with the relevant people - just email us at spp@ucl.ac.uk
In addition, our Policy & Practice seminar series aims to help support the studies of Government and Politics A-Level students, as well as the intellectually curious. You are very welcome to bring students to any of our public events. You can find out more above, or via our Public Events page.
We bring our Year 12 students to the UCL Policy and Practice public lectures because they offer an invaluable opportunity to engage with real-world issues and hear directly from leading voices in policy and academia. The experience broadens their understanding of how policy shapes society and inspires them to think critically about their role as future changemakers. It's an enriching extension of the classroom that our students always find eye-opening and empowering.
