  • UCL Americas staff nominated for 2026 Student Choice Awards

We are delighted to announce that a number of our colleagues have been nominated in various categories of the Student Choice Awards. We would like to thank and congratulate them, and wish them the best of luck in the next round!

The Student Choice Awards are held annually by the UCL Student Union and are a way for students to thank amazing members of staff and let them know that their hard work makes a difference.

Nominated for Inspiring Teaching Delivery

Jonathan creates a fun and comfortable atmosphere in his classes, where class discussion is insightful and useful. He poses questions that we often have not considered, and I leave the class feeling positively about my degree.

Nominated for Excellent Personal Tutoring

Bill has been extremely helpful in the Contemporary Issues module. His guidance on assignments has really helped me improve and he goes above and beyond by answering questions even shortly before the deadline. He's made the module very enjoyable and has brought the best out in my work.

Sophie provides detailed feedback with a positive outlook on everything. Her academic advice before and after submitting assignments is genuinely very helpful, it is clear she cares deeply about students' work.

Kate has been extremely helpful throughout the ethics procedure. She is always quick to answer questions and respond to emails and has made understanding the complicated ethics rules much easier!

Kate always listens to the concerns of students on the History and Politics of the Americas course. She is committed to improving the course and always listens to student's concerns. She was very understanding when listening to students and never brushed people's concerns aside.
