Judy Medrington, Education and Student Experience Manager at the Institute of Archaeology until her recent retirement, has been awarded the Amazing Support Staff award as part of UCL’s 2026 Education Awards.
The award is one of the Student Choice Awards, reflecting Judy’s central role in providing essential support to students, as well as staff, over the decades.
The Education Awards recognise outstanding staff and students who go the extra mile to support learning at UCL. In the University’s Bicentenary year, more than 300 colleagues, students and guests gathered at the UCL Institute of Education to celebrate these achievements.
Judy has a long history of receiving recognition for her exceptional support of students and colleagues. Previous awards include the Supporting Learning Award in 2008, the Outstanding Personal Support in 2017, the Education Award for Student Support in 2023, and the Active Student Partnership in 2024.
