The role

We are seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer (Teaching) in Museum Studies to contribute to the teaching of core modules on the MA Museum Studies, develop new optional modules, support with dissertation supervision, and to work with the teaching team to develop teaching and learning opportunities in museum studies at PG and UG level. This 1.0FTE post (36.5 hours per week) and includes all course preparation, teaching, support, marking, and associated duties. 

This post is available from 1 September 2026.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Museum Studies, Heritage Studies or Archaeology/Cultural Studies (with demonstrable interest in museums and heritage), experience of designing, coordinating, and delivering teaching and assessments at postgraduate level in fields relevant to the role and experience of professional work in a museum or related institution.
