Applications are invited for a full-time Lecturer (Teaching) in Museum Studies at the UCL Institute of Archaeology. This post provides teaching cover for Dr Johanna Zetterström-Sharp as part of the Leverhulme Trust-funded project Collections, Conviviality, Culture Wars: UK postcolonial redress 1997–present, and involves teaching core modules on the MA Museum Studies, supervising dissertations, and contributing to an undergraduate option module within UCL Anthropology.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Museum Studies, Heritage Studies, or Anthropology/Cultural Studies, with a demonstrable interest in museums and heritage. They will have professional networks within the UK museum sector and may have research interests in restitution, colonial legacies, and reparative justice. Appointment is on a full-time, fixed-term basis from 15 September 2026 to 14 September 2027, with responsibilities including teaching, course preparation, marking, and associated duties.
