With the aim of translating awareness into action and driving meaningful global change, it featured a dynamic lineup of speakers and discussions focusing on the urgent need to accelerate the green transition in the wake of COP28.
Attendees had the opportunity to engage with experts from various fields, including academia, business, policymaking, and activism.
Highlights of the day included insightful sessions on COP28 outcomes, the role of businesses and policymakers in driving the green transition, and the importance of community involvement.
Speakers such as former Vice President Al Gore, UCL Provost Michael Spence, and Deputy Mayor of London Shirley Rodrigues shared their perspectives and initiatives towards sustainability.
Attendees, including faculty, students, policymakers, and industry leaders, came together to explore solutions and inspire the next generation of climate pioneers.
The event closed with a call to action from Professor Lisa Vanhala (Department of Political Science). She emphasised the importance of inclusive discussions and collective efforts in achieving transition to renewable energy.
