  • GGI Annual Report 2018-2019

The GGI, now in its sixth year of operation, has become a recognised voice in global governance research and policy debates. This would have been impossible without the support of our broad network of partners and collaborators at UCL and beyond. We are excited to have consolidated and expanded this network further in 2018-19, including through a newly awarded Horizon 2020 collaborative research grant on future scenarios in global governance and a Jean Monnet Network grant on China/EU economic governance.

Advancing impactful policy dialogue and public debate on issues of global governance has also remained a core aim of the Institute, as reflected in its busy events and workshop programme. Our policy-facing events and workshops have included, among many others, a major workshop on the role of regulation in combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR), hosted in collaboration with the UK Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), the UCL Institute for Global Health and UCL Grand Challenges.

The GGI has also continued to make important contributions to global governance scholarship through publications, research workshops and reports, as well as its Senior Visiting Fellowship programme, and the preparation of successful funding bids, including for UCL Grand Challenges grant schemes.
