Professor Claire Dwyer, 1964-2019

We are very sad to announce the death of our friend and colleague Claire Dwyer, Professor of Geography at UCL. Claire was diagnosed with a rare cancer last year, and was with her family at a hospice in Ealing when she died peacefully on Sunday July 14th 2019.

 

Claire was a wonderful teacher, a highly influential researcher, a treasured colleague and a dedicated champion of the causes she believed in: especially the rights of women and people of diverse faiths. A fuller tribute to Claire’s work will be posted on our website soon.
