UCL Americas was honored to organise and host a roundtable to mark the 50th anniversary of Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara’s execution in Bolivia. Eminent scholars and eye witnesses to the event got together to offer their views and insights on different aspects of Che’s complex personality, as a man, policy-maker and legend. This event, which took place on October 9th, was convened by Dr. Emily Morris, UCL Institute of the Americas Honorary Research Fellow and chaired by Dr. Paulo Drinot, Senior Lecturer in Latin American History, UCL Institute of the Americas and editor ofChe’s Travels: The Making of a Revolutionary in 1950s Latin America.
