Innovation

My role has a number of different functions but it is primarily to encourage and develop enterprise, entrepreneurship, and activities that have direct social impact.

I seek to help faculty take and develop their research ideas so that they can have direct benefit to society and the economy. I seek to help and encourage students to participate in being active in being entrepreneurial and encourage students creating ideas that can benefit society.

I also seek to help create a strong set of cases that assist UCL and the faculty develop the Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF). I am also seeking to develop a faculty-wide strategy and resources that encourages students and staff to engage more with activities that have social and economic impact.

Entrepreneural skills 

For organised events, training, and resources for students to help them with entrepreneurship and learning more on how to start an enterprise, including a social enterprise.

Knowledge Exchange

Funding to help get research ideas developed to facilitate an exchange between society, economy, and research. Work that connects knowledge activities as well as enterprise ideas are funded.

For help for students and staff on turning research ideas that you want into a business idea or to help society. Funding sources, information about UCL’s startup incubator, intellectual property, and other ideas can be found there.

Information and assistance for ideas that lead to commercialising research and for developing social enterprises can be found here.

UCLC

For help with consulting and contracting with enterprises or developing continuing education courses. UCLC also has session on consultancy with UCLC and assistance on how to get involved.
