What We Do
UCL STAR provides students with opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of refugees and asylum seekers. Through a mix of awareness-raising, volunteering, and advocacy, members contribute both practically and politically to support those navigating the challenges of life in the UK.

Our Current Campaign Focus
UCL STAR concentrates its efforts on key issues affecting refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. Members engage in campaigns that combine advocacy, awareness, and practical support to make a meaningful impact.

Take Action and Make a Difference
Support campaigns against destitution, prevent deportation of minors to conflict zones, and challenge negative impacts of immigration detention.

Harm or Misrepresent
Do not spread misinformation or negative stereotypes about refugees, and never ignore opportunities to contribute to advocacy or practical support.
