Gulbala Salamov
Gulbala started his studies with B.Sc in Computer Education&Instructional Technology, followed by an MSc in Computer Science. After working for more than two years as an independent researcher and developer in private companies and universities, he joined the UCL ExCiteS research group as a senior research associate in the ECSAnVis project. He is also in the early stages of his PhD journey.
His research interests include the design, development and use of mobile technologies in the context of Citizen Science applications for expert and public use. The focus of Gulbala’s work is more specifically on implementing state art of technologies in mobile development and on the interception of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and User Experience (UX) in combination with Public Participation in Environmental Research. He is also interested in the practises, investigation, and impacts of citizen science on conservation research as well as educational, social and behavioural aspects of citizen science.
