European lakes under environmental stressors (EULakes)
UCL Geography’s EULakes project studies Central European lakes, using sediment chronologies to track environmental stressors and support sustainable management under climate change.
This project, funded by the EU, aims to promote an integrated approach to improve the sustainable management of Central European lakes impacted by climate change and other environmental stressors. We collaborated with FEM-IASMA to assess the historical record of contamination inputs to these lakes. The facility provided the sediment core chronologies.
