Liquid Cities: Sonic Worlds in the Anthropocene

Liquid Cities, Sonic Worlds is a hybrid event exploring how sound and listening can reshape understandings of water, environmental change, and urban life in the Anthropocene. 

Bringing together researchers, artists, practitioners, and activists from London and Latin America, the event combines a keynote talk, dialogue, participatory listening, and shared sonic materials to examine how fluid geographies are sensed, inhabited, and collectively negotiated. 

Through sonic methods, hydrofeminist perspectives, and more-than-human approaches, the event asks how listening can foster new forms of attentiveness, care, and collaboration in increasingly water-affected urban futures.
