Much was new about the Trump Presidency—the President’s background, his personal style, and his approach to office all broke with established institutional norms. But what has been Donald Trump’s impact on U. S. conservatism? Has it too been transformative?
For this seminar, the Institute of the Americas and Centre on U.S. Politics at UCL have asked three scholars of contemporary U.S. politics whether a new American conservatism has taken shape during the years of Donald Trump’s dominance of GOP politics, and—if so—what are its distinguishing characteristics.
