Colombian Documentary Forums: "7 Name Woman"
Ambulante Colombia, Embrace Dialogue and UCL Institute of the Americas invite you to the second screening of a series of Colombian Documentary Forums. Join us to watch and discuss "7 Name Woman", a documentary by Daniela Castro & Nicolas Ordóñez.
The documentary presents the story of Yineth, the woman with seven names. Each name represents a different way of being, a way of seeing and relating to the world, a reinvention. This is the story of a woman who found a way to survive through reinvention in a country that turned its back on her. Her identity is built on forgotten names, Yineth is the seventh one. A peasant girl, a young guerrilla combatant, a middle-class mother, and a government official, all make up her story.
