Drinking Water
Free, safe-to-drink water, is available in Drayton House, and there are more throughout campus - find your local water fountain on a UCL campus map.
Going plastic free!
Help to reduce consumption of single-use plastic bottles by purchasing a reusable water bottle.
Buildings and facilities
UCL occupies over 200 buildings, which include laboratories, libraries, museums, theatres, workshops and residences. UCL is working to ensure that our buildings are net zero carbon in operation as part of our commitment to net zero by 2030. Waste and Recycling
UCL has committed to reducing waste per person by 20% and to recycle 85% of its waste by 2024. We are commited to reducing, reusing, repairing and sharing, eliminating single use items and maximising the value from our waste products. This initiative is part of the The Loop campaign. Donate your unwanted books to Better World Books UK
Better World Books gives your no-longer-needed books an extended life by selling them on multiple online marketplaces. Launched in 2008, the service supports literacy charities and importantly, keeps books out of landfill. Your drop-off point is reception - Drayton House - find out more about the scheme.
