Toward “What Works?”: Moynihan, Wilson, and Social Policy in an Age of Diminished Expectations

My research examines crime and poverty in the lead-up to and aftermath of the Great Society in the United States. I focus on the multifaceted careers of James Q. Wilson and Daniel Patrick Moynihan to blend policy, intellectual, and political approaches.
