The UCL Social Data Institute Internship Scheme offers Social and Historical Sciences and Social Research Institute undergraduates in their second year (or third year if on a four-year programme)* a chance to apply their data skills in real-world settings. These internships last approximately six weeks, pay London Living Wage (£13.85 per hour) or more, and are hosted by external organisations such as the Financial Times, International Organization for Migration (IOM), Save the Children UK, and many more!

This scheme is exclusive to students in the SHS Faculty and the Social Research Institute.

How do I apply?
You can apply via the Application Page on the Social Data Institute website. Please note that you will need to log in with your UCL credentials to access the page.

On the website, you’ll find a full list of opportunities. Each internship has a detailed job description followed by an application form. All job descriptions are hosted on OneDrive, so you will also need to log in with your UCL credentials to access them. We recommend reading through the descriptions carefully to ensure you meet the criteria before applying.

Students can apply for up to two internships, and applications will close on Monday, 28th April, at 11:45 PM.

Please be aware there are specific requirements you must meet to apply. You can find the full list in the ‘Important Information’ section of the website.

If you have any questions about the internships or the application process, please contact: ucl.soda@ucl.ac.uk
*If you are on a four-year programme, you can apply once in either your second or third year.
