Thank you for your interest in the UCL Social Data Institute Internship Scheme.
To be eligible to apply you MUST:
1. Be an undergraduate at the end of your second year or third year if on a four year programme (If you are on a four year programme you can apply for these internship once in either your second or third year).
2. Be enrolled in a department that is part of the Faculty of Social & Historical Sciences or the Social Research Institute.*
3. Be averaging a 2.1 grade or above in your assessments to date.
4. Be familiar with quantitative data (i.e have used software such as R, SPSS, STATA; can undertake regression, produce plots etc).
5. Be available to complete the internship full-time for six weeks over the summer break and in the location specified by the host organisation.
6. Be available to undertake an internship induction prior to joining the organisation.
7. Have the right to work in the UK and can provide documents to prove this - in line with the UK government and UCL's right-to-work checks.
8. Agree to submitting a short (no more than 2-page) report about your experience at the end of the scheme.
9. Apply for a maximum of 2 opportunities within the scheme.
You will be asked to confirm this information when submitting your application form, if you do not meet all of them you will not be able to complete the application and you will be automatically rejected.*The Faculty of Social & Historical Sciences includes: Anthropology; Geography; Economics; History; History of Art; Inst. of the Americas; Inst. of Archaeology; Political Science.
