UCL - MRC PhD Programmes

Clinical research training fellowship (clinical)

This fellowship provides support for medical and dental graduates (at speciality registrar (StR) grade or below) to follow a dual clinical-research training career for up to three years.   Allowing individuals to undertake research training in bio-medical science and register for a research degree, normally a PhD, based on research undertaken during the fellowship.

Industrial CASE studentships

The aim of the Medical Research Council Industrial CASE awards is to provide funding for research fellowships within the context of a mutually beneficial collaboration between academic institutions and industry partners.  This provides an  experience of two research cultures and access to a wider than usual range of technology, facilities and expertise.

Advanced Course Masters Studentships

The aim of the Medical Research Council in funding MSc and MRes studentships is to assist universities to make a significant impact on unmet national needs for advanced biomedical and health research skills and to develop our potential future research leaders.
