Noga Shatz

Artist's statement

Noga Shatz's work connects aesthetics with cultural charges, storytelling, apocalyptic visions and black humour. Her works originate from an individual perspective on her history, culture, social and political experiences.

Half dream - partly reclaiming fragments of reality, memory and history, Shatz's work evolves around the tension between stability and instability, the lack of control and an impossible desire to possess it.

Half dream half nightmare, the narratives in her works travel into- and out of an unknown time and space where the rules of gravity disintegrate.
