MA student, Andrea Greenwood, won the Outdoor Sculpture Category. Her centrepiece sculpture, titled Dive, focuses on the split second between a swimmer diving and hitting the water. The sculpture is based on the reflection of a swimmer prior to hitting the water, with the various shapes and ripples intricately cut out and then formed from sheets of steel. It was unveiled in April 2011.

Four MFA students, Catharina Golebiowska, Kazumi Hyodo, Paul Magee and Julia Vogl, reached the shortlisting stage and were given a budget to develop their project proposal in the same category.
