I am fascinated by the potential of recognisable materials to transcend their original purpose and transform into something new and unexpected. This abstraction of recognisable materials draws inspiration from a variety of different topics including; science fiction, natural science and landscape. Mainly using the processes of collage and assemblage, on varying scales, using materials like; prepared or natural wood, paper and stickers to challenge the viewer’s perception of the familiar.
