In the past two years, I have been drawing, painting, and making mostly from home, whether it is the home in the countryside in Sichuan, or the sojourn home in London. My work is about domesticity and the passing of time, like a diary. It explores the space between two opposing states, such as connection and isolation, individuality and community, movement and stillness, the concealed and the revealed, and how to place the self in this space. The mundaneness of everyday life starts to have a weight in my work.
