Cohabitation/Symbioses, Cherry Song 宋清羽, 2021, broken family styled tables support from 1900s, cultivated edible mushrooms:(oyster), (wood ear) (Shimeji), (Pleurotus citrinopileatus), (Pleurotus djamor), moss, weed, soil, water,  goldfish, glass tank, oxygen pump, 120 x 100 x 7 cm

Found decaying traditional family styled table - disassembled and using its support frame as the main source of energy to be fed on by cultivated edible fungus. Focused around the mushrooms, as they deteriorate the table over time, all the elements within this microclimate environment sustain, support, depend on one another, creating a full circle of ‘natural’ chain.

Cherry Song 宋清羽 – BA/BFA

Hobby: Chaos

Art: I have attempted to befriend and understand the world by finding ways to connect to the original source of energy for all living/non-living things that are currently cohabiting on the planet. Where a lot of my work is time-durational and collaborates with other life forms, in which they have their own freedom and consciousness for their own chosen direction.

There are no determined starting or ending points in what I make, as I want the experiences to be carried on by whoever comes across them, by any life form.

Friends: Pluto (chinchilla), Doudou (dog), Huahua (dog), Diandian (dog)
