Recent choreographic credits include fashion films for Gucci, Dior and Paul Smith, and music videos for Coldplay, Young Fathers and Florence and the Machine where “Delilah’ saw her win an MVA Award for Best choreography 2016. That same year she was also nominated as Best New Director.

Blakey has directed films for Gwilym Gold, Klyne, Mabel and Everything Everything. The artist made “Cherry Hill” a collaboration with Christies and Nowness starring French/American actress Camille Rowe dancing with the cast of her company; a short film in a lonely multi-million pound mansion, full of hallucinations and sadness.

The artist is known for her live collaborations with visual artists such as Hannah Perry (Serpentine Galleries, Boiler Room, CFA Berlin) and Jala Wahid (Serpentine Galleries), and her long standing practice with Gwilym Gold, Darkstar and Mica Levi for both video work and live performance.

Some Greater Class opened at London’s Southbank in 2016 Centre seeing her awarded the Kevin Spacey Artist of Choice for Dance 2017. SGC will and was performed at The Lowry and Northern School of Contemporary Dance with live music Gwilym Gold and Darkstar.

In 2018, Cowpuncher, Blakey’s collaboration with Mica Levi, was commissioned to reopen Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall. Blakey and Levi toyed with the structure, sounds and vistas of the Western movie genre with the classic filmic iconography and costumes by Vivienne Westwood.

Drawing from Blakey’s previous live works Some Greater Class (2015) and Cowpuncher (2018), she was commissioned for new work to be performed at The Place – in collaboration with fifteen LCDS dance artists creating Godspeed which premiered July 2019.
