Venus Ex Machina is the alias of Nontokozo F. Sihwa, a producer, artist, programmer and hacker. With a background in mathematics and audio engineering, she has presented projects with the Glasgow Centre for Contemporary Art, Café Oto, Tate Britain, Channel 4, Institute for Contemporary Art, Wysing Arts Centre and the V & A Museum. She is studying for an MSc in Sound and Music Computing at Queen Mary, University of London, where her interests include interactive digital systems, machine learning, computational creativity and perception. She is also active as a teacher of creative coding with Code Liberation, a 501c3 for the creation of digital games and creative technologies by women, nonbinary, femme, and girl-identifying people to diversify STEM fields
