Mariele Neudecker is an artist whose work explores environments as diverse as north-western Greenland, a domestic house in Brighton and the paintings of Caspar David Friedrich. She works in a wide range of media including video, drawing, photography and installation, but keeps returning to landscape and landscape representations, particularly those associated with the Northern European Romantic tradition. She recently made works in Arctic and deep sea environments in collaboration with an explorer and nature writer and a marine biologist.
