There is no simple lens.
Lenses
are designed to ensure that the world conforms
to what you expect of it. What would a camera be like, that showed
the
world as it is? Impossible, you answer,
the world is no longer what it is. And sadly I agree: the world
is what it will be, and our cameras can only photograph the past.
