The work stems from the object and aims to explore the realms of space; its' identity and temperament. The nature of the work is varied and ranges from photography, objects and film. The character of the work is perhaps comparable to a vacant situation, one which suggests specificity yet at the same time evokes unfamiliarity. I have been considering the invisble boundaries around an object and the invisible boundaries we have around ourselves, somehow we know these boundaries exist yet they can not be recorded or defined easily, this unattainable energy could be described as an aura of presence or perhaps a magnetic field; I am interested in the point where the magnetic field ends and another field begins, like the lenght of time inbetween an echo, or the point where a stone hits the surface of water and its' free falling becomes a submerged sinking.

The work and the materials could be described as being still and silent yet when specifically placed and reacting within an environment these materials and ideas create an atmosphere of suspense, where the silence itself becomes charged with violence.
