Natasha Kidd
Wall: Studio 2, dipped. 1996.
Wood and emulsion on canvas.
My work begins and ends with the wall, that which could be considered a neutral backdrop for the work, is my subject.
The formal and aesthetic qualities of the white washed wall reveal a particular history -it is in the layering; and the disturbances, the fissures, the stains that the history or passing of time is intimated.
