Use podcasts to allow your learners to demonstrate their new knowledge, or share research findings or experiences with teachers and other learners.
Podcasts (audio) or vodcasts (video) are online broadcasts that users can download and listen to (or watch) when they want.
Many podcasts are produced as part of a channel or series. Users can subscribe, and have their device download the latest episode automatically.
Podcasts tend to be more informal in style than traditional broadcast radio or television.
How to design your course activities
Give learners a clear brief and a strict time limit for the podcast or vodcast.
Explain how you expect learners to engage with the subject matter. Get them to focus on the message they want to share, rather than the technology to create the podcast.
Show them examples of approaches that work well. Ask them what they think are the elements of a good podcast.
Encourage learners to give each other feedback during the production process, or provide feedback yourself.
